The Türksat Aerial Platform (Balloon) Project is a domestically developed national solution designed to meet the need for high observation capability and uninterrupted communication. The Türksat High-Altitude Platform (T-HAP) is a system capable of ascending up to 1,500 meters, providing high-resolution imagery 24/7 throughout the year — particularly in border regions — and configurable for various mission requirements.Developed domestically by our R&D Directorate, T-HAP can be produced in both fixed-installation and fully mobile portable configurations to address different operational needs such as surveillance, inspection, communication, network establishment, or network disruption.
Flexible Payload and Operational Capability
Thanks to mission payloads that can be integrated into T-HAP, the system can adapt to a wide range of operational scenarios. Key capabilities include:
With stabilized gimbal cameras (day and night)
-360° high-resolution imaging
-Live transmission of imagery and coordinate dataWith jammer integration
-Continuous monitoring of specific RF frequencies
-Suppression and disruption of detected unauthorized communicationsWith relay, base station, repeater, and modem integration
-Instant GSM, radio, network, and internet communication
-Effective expansion of coverage areas
T-HAP is a stable aerial platform capable of operating at altitudes up to 1,500 meters, carrying payloads of approximately 50 kg, and providing uninterrupted electrical power. It also allows integration with radar and various sensor systems.
Testing, Operational Scenarios, and Disaster Response
In line with the request of the Turkish General Staff, T-HAP was successfully tested over a three-month period at the Köprübatı Border Outpost in the Gaziantep / Nizip / Karkamış region, operated by trained military personnel.
In emergency and disaster situations, T-HAP can provide mobile and continuous solutions in;
Disaster recovery centers
Situations requiring coverage expansion and capacity sharing.
